Zakat al-Fitr is a vital charitable obligation given at the end of Ramadan to ensure that vulnerable families can celebrate Eid with dignity. For many households affected by poverty, displacement, and ongoing crises, even basic holiday needs can be difficult to afford.

Through its Zakat al-Fitr Project, OİYD Humanitarian Relief Association collects and distributes Zakat al-Fitr before Eid, in accordance with Islamic guidelines, reaching those who need it most.

Beneficiaries include low-income families, elderly individuals, widows, orphans, people with disabilities, and emergency humanitarian cases. Assistance is provided either in the form of essential food supplies or cash support, depending on each family’s situation, helping them prepare for Eid.

Field teams carefully assess needs and ensure transparent distribution, allowing every contribution to create meaningful impact. Beyond material support, Zakat al-Fitr brings emotional relief and restores a sense of belonging and joy during Eid.
